App for the Smart Basket

The app communicates with the sensors via Bluetooth/WIFI/GSM module. All sensors (as described later) are connected to a single circuit, and the communication module sends data at regular intervals or on request via the app. The sensors are powered by a battery or mains power, depending on the requirements. The sensors are embedded in the basket, with a flow sensor (for clogging) placed beneath the basket. The communication module and power supply are routed outside the basket via a shared cable.

Working Version of the App Design

The app is being developed in both Android and iOS versions, with consideration given to a web application for remote access to data via the internet.

The Smart Basket will feature communication interfaces including Bluetooth/WIFI and a standard GSM data module. With Bluetooth, communication to the app will have a range of several meters, while with GSM, remote access is possible from anywhere after inserting a data SIM card (a basic plan for smartwatches, for example, costing around 30 CZK per month, as only a small amount of data is transmitted).

APP - visual appearance of the app is not described; instead, the focus is on the app's functions for communication with the sensors

  • Language Versions – Initially, the app will support Czech (CZ) and English (EN), with potential future expansions to German (GER), Italian (IT), French (FR), Spanish (ESP), and other languages.
  • My Sensors – This feature allows communication with sensors and real-time data retrieval (such as pH, temperature, chlorine, flow rate, etc.), with numeric outputs displayed to the user.
  • Overview – A graphical interface that provides clickable charts for all categories, showing the development of temperature, pH, flow rate, and other monitored parameters over time.
  • Alerts – Users can set up notifications for specific threshold values (e.g., pH drop below a certain level, flow rate dropping below a certain limit, which may indicate clogging, etc.).
  • Settings, Manufacturer Information, and Contact Details – Provides access to app settings, information about the manufacturer, technical support, and a link to the website where users can order accessories or additional functionalities.
  • Key Feature of the Smart Basket with the App – The app monitors the degree of clogging/contamination in the basket and sends alerts when cleaning is required.
  • Additional Functionality – Pool Chemical Supply Monitoring – Based on pH sensor data, the app can track how often and how much pool chemicals are consumed and offer users the option to order more through the app's e-shop, with delivery included.
  • Additional Features – Contact Information – The app will include additional service contact options, such as filtration system maintenance services or even local water delivery services. The goal is to create an app that serves as a comprehensive gateway for pool owners to manage all aspects of pool maintenance.

SENZORS

This tester is effective for monitoring pool water! The tester is an exceptionally useful device designed to test all parameters of pool water, and it is also used to measure water temperature in the range from 0.19°C to 60.0°C. It communicates via Bluetooth/GSM and WIFI, displaying measurements on the screen of your mobile phone.

Tested Parameters:

1. EC (Electrical Conductivity):

Range: 0-10000 µS/cm, 10.01-19.99 mS/cm, 20.14-100.0 mS/cm (range switching is automatic)

Resolution: 1 µS/cm; 0.1 mS/cm

Accuracy: ±2% F.S.

2. TDS (Total Dissolved Solids):

TDS represents the total amount of dissolved solids (minerals, salts, or iron) in the water, measured in milligrams per liter (mg/L) or parts per million (ppm).

Range: 0-10000 ppm, 10.1-200.0 ppt (range switching via app)

Resolution: 1 ppm; 0.1 ppt

Accuracy: ±2% F.S.

3. Salinity:

Salinity refers to the concentration of dissolved minerals (salts) in water, commonly measured in parts per thousand (‰) or grams per liter.

Range: 0-10000 ppm, 10.1-200.0 ppt, 0.01%-25.00%

Resolution: 1 ppm; 0.1 ppt; 0.01%

Accuracy: ±2% F.S. (0.01-5.00% ±0.1%, 5.1-25.0% ±1%)

4. pH:

pH indicates whether the water is acidic or alkaline. The ideal pH value for pool water is between 7-7.2, which is neutral. A pH higher than 7 indicates alkaline (living) water, ideal for detoxification, while lower values indicate acidic water, suitable for disinfection.

Range: 0.01-14.00 pH

Resolution: 0.01 pH

Accuracy: ±0.05

5. ORP:

ORP measures the presence of oxidation or reduction substances in the liquid. Positive ORP values indicate an oxidizing liquid, while negative values indicate a reducing liquid. High negative ORP values function as strong antioxidants.

Range: ±999 mV

Resolution: 1 mV

Accuracy: ±2 mV

6. S.G (Water Hardness):

Range: 1.000 - 1.222

7. Water Temperature:

Range: 0.19°C to 60.0°C

8. Clogging (Flow Sensor):

A key feature of our system is the flow sensor beneath the basket, which acts as an indicator of clogging and contamination of the smart basket. The app will immediately notify the user of high clogging levels and the need to clean the basket through a push notification or email.

Main Features:

UNIVERSAL – The high-quality water tester is designed for testing water pH and measuring water temperature from 0.19°C to 60.0°C (32.0°F to 140.0°F).

EASY AND CONVENIENT TO USE – The water quality meter is exceptionally simple and user-friendly, with an intuitive interface.

BATTERY POWERED AND AUTOMATIC TURN-OFF – The water quality tester is powered by 3 LR44 button cells. The device automatically turns off after 5 minutes of inactivity when using Bluetooth. For the GSM version, power is supplied through the mains.

Communication App:

The app communicates with the mobile phone via Bluetooth/WIFI/GSM. It is available for both Android and iOS and allows users to store measured values. It also includes customizable alerts for threshold values.
